The 24th of July 1999, was a great day for Mr. Alain Robidoux, from Grandy, Quebec. He caught, what the people of the region call, the Great Cedar Lake Monster !

Hooked with a jig on a 8 pound test line, this huge Lake Trout weighed no less than 37 1/4 pounds.

A couple of weeks later, on the 11th of August, Mr. Eugene Gorman, from New York State, captured what we may think is the Monster's brother, a 35 pounder Lake Trout.

The fish was 41 inches long and had a diameter of 25 1/2 inches. There were fish steaks for everyone...
